American Inventors Protection Act (AIPA)
There is a national law regulating invention companies known as the American Inventors Protection Act (AIPA). Below you will find a list of details that companies are required to disclose under the AIPA; InventHelp complies with this law. Some fraudulent invention companies do not provide this information as required. Other companies simply claim the AIPA doesn’t apply to them and ignore this law.
If any service provider asks you for a fee without giving you the requirements set forth by the American Inventors Protectioin Act – beware! In that case, you should look elsewhere for help; failure to follow the rules is a clear indication of a potential scam.
Required by AIPA
- Number of positive evaluations
- Number of negative evaluations
- Number of customers receiving a net financial profit
- Number of customers receiving invention licenses
- Names of previous companies offering inventor services
